Time to Sow

Time to Sow
My potting station in the garden at home

Over Easter weekend I made a proper start on sowing, and did a little potting on of the few things that were already on the go.

I planted:

  • 21 Parsnips (White Gem) in tubes (to be germinated indoors)
  • 8 pairs of tomato seed saved from the plot last year into modules
  • 8 pairs yellow cherry tomatoes saved from last years toms into modules
  • 8 cucumbers (that were freebie seeds from Subway gifted by a colleague) into pots.
  • 8 baked potato squash (a type of winter acorn squash)
  • 4 trailing Nasturtium seeds
  • Rocket, lettuce, and mizuna seeds sprinkled onto a seed tray finely, I think 8 little modules per type
  • Potted on Hungarian hot-wax chillies and yarrow (yellow) cuttings.
  • 6 runner beans in pots (firestorm, string-less beans).
  • 6 butternut squash into pots
  • 6 pots of Swiss chard 'Sunset' (Yellow)
  • 6 pots of Swiss chard 'Peppermint' (vibrant pink)
  • 6 pots Chard 'Ampera' (Red)

I was gifted a bulb lasagne at Christmas and this has started to really come to life this week. A beautiful gift!!
