Mid March

Mid March
Pond progress, added some plants, wood and stones around the pond while it settles

A quick visit to add some hostas and sedum around the pond. It is quite a sunny spot now, but as the summer comes the area is more dappled with shade from surrounding trees. Hopefully the light etc will be ok for the hostas.

The hostas were from home, they had been in a raised bed and were ready to be divided. The raised bed is wooden and is now getting to the point I need to dismantle it. The plot was a good option to relocate them. Will just have to cross my fingers that I do not kill them off!

The other job was planting two currant bushes, one red, one white. I have bushes in the garden and like to graze from then when I am pottering about. Hopefully I will eventually have some on the plot too, although I anticipate that they will be something for next year or the year after rather than something that is going to be productive this year.

I harvested some more sprouting broccoli and ate it for my tea with fishcakes, Yum.

Mood: Why aren't there any frogs yet!
