Gentle pottering at the plot
28th June
A gentle potter and light maintenance at the plot today. A good soak for most things and a stinky feed of comfrey tea for the tomatoes and the squash, followed by a quick trim up of the brambles.
My aunt and uncle visited with a spare composter, which was great. Compost corner now has an old pallet collar compost bay and 2 plastic Daleks.
I harvested carrots, beets, chard and salad, and I picked a couple of sunflowers for mum. The dahlias are finally looking pretty good and the radishes I planted last week already look like good little plants. I learnt that my aunty calls dahlias earwig plants and I took home a massive courgette from the spares table.

I am starting to think about things to sew in July and what to put in the gaps I have once I start to harvest things. I went to the garden centre today and managed to come home with just one plant. A hot lemon chilli that will live in the garden.

Mood: Proud (mostly of not spending too much money)
Spend: £7 ish
Time at the plot: 2hrs
