Brewing some tea

Brewing some tea
A big trug / wheelbarrow full of weeds and a medium sized green barrel ready to brew some weed tea

Today was just a quick visit to the plot for some strimming and weeding. The first load of weeds were comfrey and nettle, these went into a big container of water. I think it used to contain mango chutney and it is the perfect size. I rescued the container from the re-use pile, hopefully in the not too distant future this will become a lovely liquid fertiliser.

Chopped up nettles and comfrey in barrel with water, ready for a little more water and the lid to do on.

Despite using communal composting facilities I have already filled up a whole compost Dalek on my plot, and topped up an old compost heap, made from tiny pallet collars. Today I round some cool caterpillars in there.

I weeded between the garlic and onions, along the paths and around the fruit. And that was enough!
